The Challenge
Think about what it feels like to land somewhere new and finally get a signal back — that small, physical relief of oh good, I'm not lost. That feeling is the entire product Romix sells. But it's an invisible one: searching, connecting, and handoff all happen behind the screen, with nothing for a traveler to actually see or hold onto while it happens. Romix needed a face for that relief — a brand and a mascot warm enough to feel like someone's left the porch light on for you, no matter which country you land in.
The Approach
Every home needs a door, so the identity starts with one: a logo that reads like a signpost pointing you the right way in.
Then there's Romi, the one who actually answers the door. His chest orb works like a porch light with a mood: dim and searching when you've just arrived, warming up as the app finds its footing, glowing full and steady the moment you're connected. It turns five invisible technical states into something a traveler can watch happen and feel good about. Romi came ready to greet people wherever they meet him, waving them in through onboarding, walking them through a launch video, or showing up in social content.
The Result
Romix walked away with a complete, move-in-ready brand system: a full logo suite and a mascot built to actually work inside the product, not just sit pretty next to it. In a connectivity market full of cold, forgettable tech logos, Romix now has a character people remember and a system built to grow with the app instead of needing to be rebuilt every time it does.

Gary Chen, Founder, Romix
The final Romi character design looks professional, polished, and visually appealing. Maaddeline understood the brand direction very well and went above and beyond by preparing the character with thoughtful details, clean structure, and animation-friendly layers. Communication was smooth, and the final result exceeded my expectations. I’m very happy with the work and would recommend her for high-quality character design projects.
